A community-led storytelling campaign for Unilever’s United We Stand platform, centered on Indigenous craft, identity, and shared experience.

Worked closely with cultural consultants, partners, and community voices to ensure everything felt accurate and respectful.

Most cause-led brand content falls into a predictable trap: broad representation, uplifting music, a brand logo at the end. It checks a box but doesn't earn trust from the communities it claims to celebrate. The people we were making this for had seen that playbook. They knew it immediately. The only way to make something that landed was to stop treating the story as a vehicle for the brand and start treating the community as the actual subject.

Tell a story rooted in Indigi-queer identity and Indigenous craft — with specificity, accuracy, and genuine respect — while building something that could travel across platforms and drive real campaign results.

We centered the work on a beading circle — a specific, intimate practice that carries real cultural meaning around connection, memory, and shared identity. Everything visual was built around real moments rather than constructed ones. We worked closely with cultural consultants and community voices throughout, not at the end as a review step. The story was co-authored, not approved. The result didn't feel like a brand campaign because it wasn't built like one.

Won Best Cause-Led Campaign — Global Influencer Marketing Awards
United We Stand is a platform by Unilever and RanaVerse focused on amplifying underserved LGBTQIA+ communities.
In 2024, we created Threads Together with Freedom Oklahoma and Kelly Mantle, a documentary-style film centered on Indigi-queer voices and community storytelling.
The work led to increased funding support and 5M+ organic impressions, and won Best Cause-Led Campaign at the Global Influencer Marketing Awards.
